Professional Background

massage Beth Tennant : I am a trained nurse with years of experience of working in high pressure surgical environments. I left nursing to care for my Grandmother, while pursuing a change of career. I literally went back to school working as a Special Educational Needs teaching assistant, while studying for my PTLLS. Not knowing what I wanted to do other than ‘help people’, I took a career break setting up my own bespoke craft boutique waiting for that spark of divine inspiration to hit. I stumbled on Sports Therapy as a career after my son was injured playing rugby. I loved how he was ‘fixed’ and decided I wanted to be able to do the same. I was awarded a Sports Therapy Foundation scholarship and studied at Active Health Group.

demo-pic What is sports therapy? Sports Therapy is an aspect of healthcare that is specifically concerned with the prevention of injury and the rehabilitation of the injury to help you back to optimum levels of functionality. Whether it be occupational, lifestyle or a sport specific fitness, the aim is to be able to rehabilitate you to your optimum level. At Tuteca Sport Therapy a variety of different treatments can be used to give you the best outcome. A postural assessment will help identify which treatments are suitable to achieve the ideal results and a treatment plan is formulated to provide the most beneficial approach.

demo-pic During treatments it may be necessary for you to remove articles of clothing from the general area being treated, therefore, if you are more comfortable it may be appropriate to bring a pair of shorts and a vest top. Dignity is maintained and respected at all times and towels are used to preserve your modesty.

Personal Background

demo-pic There is nothing I love more than getting out into the hills, with my husband and 2 dogs. Being at one with nature is very important to me, it gives me the inner peace of body and mind that sometimes gets lost in the madness of our lives. I love the simple things in life, quality time with family & friends, my beloved Dorset, good food & good wine.

demo-pic Weekends are usually taken up looking after my 'Sunday sons', currently the U17's squad, who I have looked after pitchside for the 8/9 years my son has been involved in minis and juniors rugby. I am the Old Rishworthian Minis & Juniors First Aid Coordinator, writing the First Aid protocols and implementing the recording practices to the RFU Seal of Approval. I am a local Guide & Senior section leader.I take a great deal of pride from giving back to my community, a small amount of input can often reap the greatest of rewards.
